Dear all, I am happy to report that the Libraries are now open to the public. Several teams of structural engineers gave us an OK. Hurricane Irene did not do any additional damage. Unfortunately some areas of the libraries will be closed to both public and staff until the shelving can be secured, but majority of the collection is accessible, although it might take a bit longer to retrieve some materials as we have thousands of books currently on tracks. I have gotten many nice letters of concern and well wishing. Thank you all very much. It is so wonderful to be a part of such a warm, wonderful community!
