Hello. Members have been sending in questions about our new
membership structure. This is not surprising, since the structure
has changed quite a bit. I welcome all questions. I recently
clarified one matter -- the definition of "retired" for dues purposes.

I would like now to clarify the relation between individual
memberships and institutional memberships. There may be a few
institutions that wish to pay the supplemental $30 fee for employees
so that they can pay at the member's rate for the employee's
convention registration.

Most members, regardless of whether their institution is a member,
maintain their own personal membership. The new rate for personal
membership (with the exception of retirees and students) is
$70. This rate is not affected by any decisions by the person's institution.
