The Herman and Rose Fisher Library at the
Congregation of Moses Now Open to Public!

Library Open House, Used Book Sale, and Hanukkah Bazaar scheduled;
Guest Author Marilyn Price featured

Kalamazoo, Mich. --- Kalamazoo’s Conservative Jewish synagogue, the 
Congregation of Moses, will host several events on Dec. 11 to welcome the 
community of Southwest Michigan. 

The Herman and Rose Fisher Library at the Congregation of Moses will hold an 
Open House on Sunday December 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring 
children’s author and puppeteer Marilyn Price. This event is free and open to 
the public. The Congregation of Moses is located at 2501 Stadium Drive, 
Kalamazoo MI 49008. 

Ms. Price, author of the new book Grandma’s Cookies, will present programs for 
many age levels.  She will begin with a story and puppet show from 10:30 - 11 
a.m. in the Library, followed by crafts and puppet making in the synagogue’s 
social hall from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. After refreshments, from 12-12:30 p.m., Ms. 
Price will sign copies of her book in the Library, and answer questions about 
puppetry and the making of her book from 12:30 – 1:30p.m.

On December 11 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Congregation of Moses will 
also hold its annual Hanukkah Bazaar and Library Used Book Sale. The Bazaar 
offers hundreds of holiday items for purchase and the Book Sale is filled with 
Jewish adult and children’s used books, DVDs, and other media at prices as low 
as 50 cents.

Library hours during the school year are Tuesdays 9:30am-12pm, Wednesdays 
4:15-6:15pm, and Sundays 9:30am-12:30pm. For further information, contact
