I realize the question concerned Jewish history rather than American Jewish history, but maybe these books will still help: Jews in America: A Cartoon History, by David Gantz, covers American Jewish history in a "graphic novel" format (ages around 12 and up). In addition, Norman H. Finkelstein has written two books on American Jewish history, also for around age 12 and up: Forged in Freedom, and American Jewish History.
