*Magen David Sephardic Congregation* presents: My Father's Favorite Concentration Camps* Screening and discussion with filmmaker Joseph Lustig*
March 25, 2012 (Sunday) at 7:30 PM * Magen David Sephardic Congregation* 11215 Woodglen Drive* Rockville, MD 20852* The film is an extremely moving and personal account of the filmmaker's father, Arnost Lustig. Until his recent passing, Arnost Lustig, world renown, award winning Czech novelist and screenwriter, based many of his writings on his experiences during WWII. In 1942, at the age of 15, Lustig was sent to Theresienstadt; and was later incarcerated at Auschwitz and Buchenwald. His son, Dr. Josef Lustig, holds a PhD from Prague's prestigious Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts's (FAMU) and Masters Degrees from New York University and American University. He is a director, screenwriter and producer who has worked on many films including "The Immortal Balladeer of Prague" a film on the life of Karel Hasler one of the most famous and Czech singer-songwriters and a new film: "Listopad: Story of Three Boys and a Revolution" (to be released in 2013) .
