Like many of you, I must have read his words and marlveled at his illustrations thousands of times in my life. He gifted us with Pierre (A Cautionary Tale), Chicken Soup With Rice, In The Night Kitchen, most famously Where The Wild Things Are, and many others. His work has the power to transport us, to open our minds, and speak to our souls. I hope that the music we played to honor him helps to do the same.
