Arthur Brody passed away in San Diego on May 10. He was the founder Brodart Company, the major manufacture of library and school supplies. Arthur developed a way to turn clear photographic film into a protective cover for books. He funded the Sophie Brody Award through the ALA. He was very active in the San Diego Jewish Community.
