The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives (Cincinnati, OH) is offering a two-day conference on synagogue archiving on August 26-28. The conference is appropriate for both established synagogue archives and start-ups, and for those wishing to start-up! This is a unique opportunity to learn from the pros about many aspects of organizing and using your congregation’s records, and interacting with others who share this interest and are involved in this invaluable work.

We are seeking to offer guidance and direction both to long-established synagogue archives as well as to synagogues that are aspiring to create an archives of their own. The registration fee for the Conference is $180.00 and includes all meals (5 total), tours, and materials for the conference. Participants will be responsible for housing and travel to and from the Conference. We have arranged for reduced rates at local hotels, and there are some dormitory rooms available at HUC.
