I just received the May/June issue of _American Libraries_ in the mail. The
entire issue should be an attractive read for most AJL members. Of special
interest to me were the articles "Transforming Libraries...continued" and
"Community Reference; Making libraries indispensable in a new way" by Colbe
Galston, Elizabeth Kelsen Huber, Katherine Johnson, and Amy Long. I hope that
enough of you will have read either these articles or others that we can
discuss them, either informally during the meals, but especially during the
Mentor Mingle Sunday evening. I think it would greatly benefit our
organization and our libraries if we could get a core of willing professionals
to focus on Jewish library transformation. Our speakers will certainly be
addressing some of these issues.

Looking forward to Pasadena. There will be door prizes for participants at the
Mentor Mingle.
