It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you of the untimely passing
of my dear friend and colleague, Barbara Silverman.
Barbara was a volunteer librarian at the Astor Judaica Library at the
JCC in La Jolla, California and an active member of the San Diego/
Tijuana chapter of AJL. For many years she was a children's librarian
in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She served on the Manuscript Committee of the Association of Jewish
Libraries and wrote reviews of children's books for the Jewish Book
Council.
May her memory be for a blessing.
