Thanks for posting this article. Last week I attended a session at my local PL 
on how to set up one's Nook (there was a separate presentation for Kindle.). It 
was mid-morning and about fifty attended, the VAST majority "seniors."
E-books are doing well at Monmouth County Libraries. But I do agree with the 
limited selection. (Library on the Go had an awful lot of pot-boiler [dare I 
say chick-lit?] that might best be pulped!) But I did find over a dozen titles 
in specific subject areas to put on my Wish List.
Books of Jewish content were, frankly, nil.
" About 60% of those 16 and older couldn't say whether their libraries had 
e-books."
How many of that 60% are active public library users? One assumes that Pew 
polled library users, but ...
