The book describes how many Jewish athletes overcame political obstacles to succeed and lists all the Jewish Olympic athletes by name, country and sports from 1896 to 2000 during which period they won 416 medals, including 179 Gold Medals!! Yogi Mayer died last year at the grand age of 98. He made a huge contribution to the development of Jewish youth (including myself) and was instrumental in helping the 732 teenage Holocaust survivors who were allowed into the UK in 1945 to triumph over adversity. Those teenagers were the subject of Sir Martin Gibert's book "The Boys".
