The Public Relations (PR) committee of AJL has the important role of communicating with the world about AJL's news, events, and overall value. This is done through the press, via social media, and with outreach to related organizations.
THE POSITION OF PR CHAIR IS OPEN! This is a Council position. The PR Chair participates in Council meetings at the annual AJL conference and in January in New York. AJL assists Council members with travel expenses for the midwinter meeting. We are seeking someone who 1) cares about librarianship in general and about AJL in particular, 2) is intelligent and well-spoken, and 3) isn't afraid of using technology (blogging, social media, updating websites, etc).
