You’ve all been so good about identifying stories, I’m hoping you can give me
information on the titles, sources and/or versions of these two stories:

Feathers story - a community comes to the rabbi complaining about everything.
He tells each one in turn to put a feather representing their troubles in a
community square. Everyone does that, resulting in a huge pile of feathers.
Then he tells everyone to pull out their feather. (I know lots of stories
about feathers and gossip, but I haven’t been able to track down this one).

Story of heaven and hell – People are sitting around a table. Those who don’t
feed one another is hell; those feeding one another is heaven. (I’ve seen only
references to this story, but not a complete version)

I’d appreciate any help you can offer in tracking these down.

Thanks,
Paula Fine,
Librarian
