Hello, A cousin of mine sent the following message - if you can help, please let me know. Thanks The library at Beth Ahm (aka Beth Abraham) is in disrepair and we are looking to downsize what we have in our inventory. We have many very old children's books, some adult non fiction and loads of Jewish texts. We do not want to just throw these away or discard anything that might be priceless or worthy of keeping and we don't quite know where to turn. (Our librarian for years was Mae Weine, who apparently has some fame in the Jewish library world......in terms of her cataloging system??? We have her original card catalogue in our library too. Our first response is to discard it, but this could be something that might be appreciated by others and I would hate to destroy something of value to Jewish librarians. ---- Original message ---- >Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2012 15:46:02 -0500 >From: hasafran-bounces+tanfam=surewest....@lists.service.ohio-state.edu >(on behalf of Ann Abrams <[email protected]>) >Subject: [ha-Safran] I'm confused about PJ Library >To: "Hasafran ([email protected])" ><[email protected]> > >I have often donated surplus books, especially titles for children, with the >help of the URJ's (Union of Reform Judaism) Small Synagogue Group.
