My rebbitzin read Lemon Tree with her non-Jewish book club, and while she found
it fairly balanced, she thought the Palestinians were portrayed more
sympathetically than the Israelis. She would like to find another book to
recommend to her book club, that deals with the Israeli-Palestinian issue that
is more balanced and gives a more realistic version of the Israeli experience.
Any suggestions would be great appreciated!
