The community college district, where I work, is involved with the purchase of a new library management system. Since this will be the lifeblood of all library operations, the process involves librarians, IT staff, procurement staff, and other staff. The request for a proposal is 56 pages long. While a small library will not have the need for such a large system, perhaps you may benefit from reading part of the process?
