Hi all: I realize it is difficult to attend both - but personally, I would hate to see AJL offered as a division meeting within ALA - I think we'd lose the wonderful flavor of AJL. In mid-Winter ALISE is scheduled the week before ALA-Midwinter - and that seems to work well.
My own feelings about ALA per se - is that it's a bit of a zoo. I wouldn't be inclined to attend at all. Rather overwhelming. That of course reflects my own feeling about the conference - it certainly has some wonderful experiences to offer. I simply prefer smaller venues. Cheers, Nancy Poole UNCG
