We want to call your attention to the publication of Eric Goldman's new book, "The American Jewish Story through Cinema" (University of Texas Press). By analyzing select mainstream films from the beginning of the sound era until today, Dr. Goldman's groundbreaking study uses the medium of cinema to provide an understanding of the American Jewish experience over the last century.
Eric will be giving book talks over the next few weeks. Please join him at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival (4/14), 92nd street Y in NYC (4/17), Brandeis University (4/18), Jacob Burns Film Center (4/22) or the New Jersey Jewish Film Festival (4/24). Dr. Goldman presents film clips that go back to the 1920s, demonstrating how cinema reflects the changing situation of Jews in America.
