Hello:

I think citing an article that clearly is highly political in nature on the
library listserv is inappropriate. I read the article by Jungreiss and as a
congregant of a synagogue in Queens, NY, led by a female rabbi who was
detained by the police at the wall as she tried to pray recently, I think
the article simply reflects one woman’s viewpoint (a very medieval one) and
is not of value to librarians. How we practice our faith is a personal
decision. I think articles like these need to be screened more carefully
before they are put on the listserv. I was personally very offended.

I expect more from the listserv than to relay politically motivated
articles.
