Dear Sir or Madam: I am pleased to announce the publication of my translation of Yitzhak Erlichson's Yiddish memoir, Mayne fir yor in sovyet-rusland, by Academic Studies Press. He escaped the Nazis in Wierzbnik-Starachowice by fleeing to the Soviet zone, but was arrested by the NKVD, who accused him of being an English spy and sent him to prisons and labor camps in Kolyma. He published his memoir after the war in Paris, under the name Jerzy Edison.
