The Koopman Library in West Hartford, CT has been lending out Kindle touch
screens since the end of last year. We've been uploading books using Amazon
gift cards, and lending out the entire device. There's a small contract that
we request patrons sign in case they damage the device. Thus far, we've had no
issues.

Subject: [ha-Safran] e-library

Does anyone have experience with e-book lending? Especially for very small
synagogue libraries.

Our congregation in Corpus Christi only has about 4000 books. But as more
people are buying e-readers I would like to start acquiring books of Jewish
interest as they are released.

Any thoughts or info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
David Jacobs
Librarian, Congregation Beth Isreal
