I used Jewish Soldiers in Blue & Gray for the congregation-wide read-along
program I organize and run here at Temple Emanu-El, New York. We showed it as
a general viewing and then I facilitated a discussion session/class for
Religious School parents on a Sunday morning. The subject is interesting but
the production values aren't spectacular. A number of well respected scholars
such as Dr. Gary P. Zola and Dr. Jonathan Sarna (both of whom lectured in my
series) speak about aspects of the era's history. I do recommend it for high
school and older. Military buffs and veterans will also really like it .
