Maggid Books is proud to announce the inauguration of the Maggid Studies in
Tanakh, a multi-volume series that explores the texts, themes, and
personalities of the Bible. Each volume features an interdisciplinary approach
that incorporates traditional rabbinic interpretations with scholarly
techniques of literary analysis. The innovative ideas that each author presents
uncover the hidden layers of the Biblical text for a contemporary audience.
With modern, accurate English translations, timelines, maps, and a
sophisticated layout, Maggid Studies in Tanakh untangles the complexity of the
Biblical narrative for students and scholars alike.

The first two volumes are currently available. Jeremiah: The Fate of a Prophet
by Binyamin Lau was released in July 2013, and I Kings: Torn in Two by Alex
Israel was released in September 2013. Joshua: The Challenge of the Promised
Land by Michael Hattin is forthcoming.

All volumes in the Maggid Studies in Tanakh are published by Maggid Books, a
division of Koren Publishers Jerusalem that offers new approaches to Jewish
text and themes from the world's leading rabbis, scholars, and philosophers.
