I got a message from his wife, Linda Schuster, today. Here is her note: "Dan has been fighting leukemia for the past year and is now under hospice care at home. He is comfortable but nearing the end of his earthly journey. My apologies for the late email notice about his health, but life has been very hard these past months. Please feel free to let others know about him. Where there is life there is hope, so we ask for your prayers and good thoughts. Blessings to each of you. Linda Schuster" I know that many of you have memories of our favorite rare book librarian from HUC and his love for all Judaica, but especially OLD Judaica. Please pass the word.....
