Dear Fellow "NYMA-ers",

In November I mailed Joy Kingsolver, AJL's archivist, a carton full of NYMA
correspondence, flyers and such goodies, going back to 1994. 4 boxes of NYMA
material had been carefully sorted through and arranged by a volunteer in new
(purple) file folders.  Several weeks ago I received a notice, along with part
of the box top I'd sent, from the USPS.  The notice read: "Please accept our
Apologies for the Damage to your Parcel Shipment damaged by normal Machine
Processing at our Facility." [The capitalization is odd and very German!].  I
had not kept a record of what I'd sent, having practically mummified the box in
packing tape.  The USPS ate my record of NYMA's recent history.

So, my fellow NYMA-ers, it's up to you to fill in our history.  It's easy to
look up on the AJL website.  Joy explains very clearly how to organize and
submit your material.
