Despite the important haskamot (הסכמות) the book disappeared and is
unknown. Why?


Recently, a thin little book arrived to the National Library, a pamphlet
which contains fifteen pages. Its letters are small and dense. In its upper
part it's a little eaten. At first glance it does not look anything special

*Book of leap year *(לוחות העיבור)  by R. Raphael Halevi of Hanover



Raphael Levi  (Halevi) Segal, who was born in Hanover (1685 – May 17 1779)
was a Jewish mathematician and astronomer. He became famous mainly due to
his book astronomy of the sky ("תכונת השמים") which was published, without
his knowledge by R. Moshe of Tiktin (Tykocin)
