Dear Hasafranim,
We had Maggie Anton as a speaker here a few months ago and as part of the
event, I had students 4th grade and up read Rashi's Daughter, Secret Scholar.
That piqued the interest of a very precocious, highly intelligent 10 year old
girl who wondered if there were any introductory books on talmud and mishnah
for her age or above. Of course we have introductions, but they're all for
adults. For kids, I have books on midrash and biographies on the sages, but
that's not what she's looking for.
I've searched the web and I can't quite decide what would work. (For instance,
there's Grishaver's You Be the Judge and Feinstein's Jewish Law Review, but I
wonder if they are too specific.) Any suggestions?
