Dear Safranim,

In my small synagogue library a patron asked a question regarding how to cite
the thick literary Hebrew journal Hatekufah, published by A. Stybl, which in
1918 appeared 3 or 4 times.  The cover has per volume sefer # (sefer rishon,
bet...).  In citing an article from this journal, according to the Chicago
Manual of Style, how would you render "sefer"?  As an issue number, volume, or
some other way.

Todah,
Haim
