After a long struggle with her illness Nili passed away earlier today. While I do not have funeral details at this point I thought you would all want to know and I will pass along any information as soon as I receive word. Down to the end Nili continued to teach and encourage others to learn the language that she loved. I have never known anyone more passionate and devoted to her work, who cherished every moment with her students and advocating for the Hebrew language - to say she will be sorely missed by all who knew and worked with her would be a tremendous understatement. The number of students and colleagues is certainly greater than those included on this message, so please forward the information to those who would want to know. Her memory will surely be for a blessing.
