A recently published children's book, *Homecourt, The True Story of the
Best Basketball Team You've Never Heard Of,* by Larry Needle, executive
director of the Philadelphia Sports Congress, would be a great addition to
Jewish school libraries!

It is the story of a famous Jewish athlete, Red Klotz, who played
basketball in the 1940's for the legendary SHPAS (South Philadelphia Hebrew
Association) and then went on a 50 year journey around the world as player
and then coach for the Washington Generals, foil to the Harlem
Globetrotters.

Globetrotters' legend, "Curly" Neal, has written a heartwarming tribute to
Klotz in his foreword to the book, and Red Klotz speaks "In His Own Words"
in an Afterword.

The author's hope is that in reading Klotz's story, boys and girls will
learn the life lessons woven into the story about sportsmanship and
overcoming adversity through sports.

This book is appropriate for children ages 8-14, but, as one reviewer
stated, it is a great story for all ages!!

While books can be ordered on Amazon, if you wish to purchase them in
quantity, please let me know so we can provide a group discount. Also, I'd
be happy to send you a copy if that would be helpful.

Please see the link below for a review of the book!
