We are preleased to announce that Barbara Kranser is the recipient of the of the The Groner-Wikler Scholarship for AJL Conference Attendance.
Barbara coordinated the annual Jewish Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators conference from 2003 to 2011, and since 2010 has led an annual workshop for the Highlights Foundation on Writing Jewish-Themed Children’s Books. Her blog “The Whole Megillah” has consistently covered Jewish children’s literature. She also serves on the AJL’s Sydney Taylor Book Award committee. In additional to her own blog she set up and STBA successful blog tour. The annual scholarship is funded by Kar-Ben Publishing in honour of founding publishers Judye Groner and Madeline Wikler, who retired in December. The Groner-Wikler Scholarship will be awarded annually to an AJL member who demonstrates dedication to Jewish children's literature and library services. Mazal tov Barbara !!!
