If the old shelf list cards are annotated, the whole thing may reflect some of your library's and synagogue's history (i.e. cataloger's notes, books' provenance, etc.) if this is just a cigar - they can be recycled... yaffa
From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Marga Hirsch Sent: Wednesday, July 02, 2014 4:27 PM To: Hasafran ([email protected]) ([email protected]) Subject: [ha-Safran] Time to repurpose old shelf list cards? When our library was automated some 10-12 years ago (before I was here), the shelf list cards were carefully boxed and stored. At this point, a significant proportion of the books represented by the cards are no longer in the library, and a significant proportion of the current collection is not represented by cards. Is there any reason not to start using the cards for scrap paper?
