Dear Colleagues:
We wanted to make you aware that starting next Tuesday, September 2, TCM:Turner
Classic Movies will be screening over twenty films dealing with Jewish life.
The ground-breaking series, "The Projected Image: The Jewish Experience on
Film," will be cablecast on five Tuesday nights in September. Themes include
"The Evolving Jew," "The Immigrant Experience," "The Holocaust," "The Jewish
Homeland" and "Tackling Prejudice." Many of the films being screened are rare
and hard to find and included in the series are early films about Israel made
by Hollywood and two Israeli classics.
TCM host Robert Osborne will be joined by Dr. Eric Goldman, a Jewish film
educator, adjunct professor of film at Yeshiva University and president of Ergo
Media. Together they will introduce the films.
