Hello safranim,
Shalom from Israel. Following many other institutions, we are enlarging our
services to those researching their family history. We've recently began to
make a small open-stacks collection of genealogical materials, but find some
difficulties in the shelving process. We are debating how best to integrate
them with other existing subjects, such as history, biographies, memoirs and
more. For instance, should collective biographies be shelved with the history
of the locality, or in a separate collection? Both options, in this and other
cases, have advantages. I would appreciate the possibility to learn from
others' experiance in this field.

Thanks,
Nachum Zitter
