*CALL FOR PAPERS* With 2014 the centennial of the beginning of the First World War, and 2015 the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the WJSA has made the theme of this conference *JEWS AND WARS. *The WJSA encourages papers and panels on this theme, as well as on Jews in the North American West(s) and Jewish studies in the public sphere. All scholars of Jewish studies, however, are invited to submit proposals on any topic for presentations, roundtables and/or workshops. We welcome proposals from graduate students.
*Proposals* Paper proposals should be no longer than 250 words and should be submitted with a short CV (no more than two pages) and contact information. *Panels* Organizers of panels should submit a cover sheet with the title of the panel and the titles of each of the papers and contact information for each presenter, followed by individual paper proposals, brief CVs (no more than two pages) and contact information. *The deadline for submission is November 2, 2014. Once accepted, you must register for the conference by 8 December 2014 to be put on the program.* *The conference* The 2015 conference will be held at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, Wednesday May 13-Thursday May 14, 2015. *Registration form will be available online at **www.wjsa.net/* <http://www.wjsa.net/%5B> *Hotel Accommodations* The University of British Columbia’ s summer accommodations will open on May 12, 2015.
