The Congregation of Moses’ Library Committee is proud to present author Rabbi
Deborah Bodin Cohen on
Sunday, November 2, 2014 at11:30 a.m.
“Modern Midrash: Re-Interpreting the Bible for Our Time.”
Free children's program in the Library from 10-10:45am.
Free brunch from 10:30-11:30am and book signing from 12:30-1:30pm.
Rabbi Deborah Bodin Cohen has nearly 20 years of experience in Jewish
education and has worked with every age group from pre-school through senior
adults. Her children’s books include the Engineer Ari series (a Sydney
Taylor Honor Book Winner), Nachshon Who Was Afraid to Swim (a Finalist for the
National Jewish Book Awards, a 2009 Sydney Taylor Honor Book, a 2009 Sugarman
Award),the young adult book Lilith's Ark (Winner, 2006 National Jewish Book
Award for Family Literature), The Seventh Day, and Papa Jethro. Her newest
book is Beware the Ides of Adar—A Shakespearean Purim Shpiel for adults.
Rabbi Deborah Bodin Cohen has also received the Natalia Twersky Educator Award
for 2014.
