I don't know if this story has made it to the American news, but Harper Collins
omitted Israel from its maps that it's selling in the Arab world:

I have written to Erin Crum, their VP of Corporate Communications
([email protected]) to indicate my outrage. I told them that I had
always considered their books to be vetted for the highest standards of
accuracy. However, given that they're willing to fill their books with lies in
order to pander to a given audience, I have to wonder what other lies they have
allowed to enter their books. As a librarian, I would have to reconsider
whether I would continue to buy their publications.
I think we should all take a moment to express our indignation at this blatant
attempt to obliterate Israel from the map.
