Thanks Naomi. This is excellent and very exciting.

Will you present on this project at the AJL Conference in 2015? If you haven't
planned on it, will you consider presenting in 2016 when we meet in Charleston
SC? The College of Charleston library has done incredible work digitizing
their Jewish collection and it would be great to hear from you and others about
such projects in their institutions.

Congratulations again,

Shoshanah

Subject: [ha-Safran] Brooklyn Jewish Center Digital Archives

We are thrilled to present the new site "Brooklyn Jewish Center Digital
Archives<http://www.brooklynjewishcenter.org/DigitalArchive.php>", selected
papers from the Brooklyn Jewish Center, the first all-encompassing Jewish
"Community Center", established in 1920. The Center was vibrant contributor
through decades of Jewish communal life in Brooklyn, New York. The papers of
Brooklyn Jewish Center are now broadly available through the digitization of
complete portions of its archives.

This project, funded by METRO, brought together virtually, archival collections
from The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary and the Educational
Institute Oholei Torah, the successor institution housed in the Brooklyn Jewish
Center building.

The digital archives includes a nearly complete run of the Brooklyn Jewish
Center Review from 1924-1985, six scrapbooks of the Center's activities,
information about the Center's building and documents pertaining to the Nazi
Banned Book even held at the Center.

View the site and please respond to our
survey<http://www.brooklynjewishcenter.org/survey.php>.

We welcome your feedback,

Naomi
