Dear Safranim (especially staff or affiliates of college or university libraries): Last summer some of you were dismayed by the omission of any mention of Judaica librarians in an article presenting an overview of Jewish Studies in North American colleges and universities. Now is your chance to set the record straight. Inspired by Rachel Leket-Mor's challenge in Hasafran, I have put together a brief questionnaire to gather data about the nature and extent of the services that you provide to students and scholars of Jewish Studies. Even though I have designed the questionnaire to take only a couple of minutes to complete, I hate to impose at all on your time knowing how busy you are. Still, I believe that compiling and presenting this data will be an effective and worthwhile way to draw attention to the contributions that Judaica librarians make. (Also, it will also help me finally finish my MLS degree!)
