Hi: Do any New Englanders know of any organization that is interested in accepting donations of used Judaica?
I frequently get calls from congregants and community members looking for a place that is interested in taking used books of Jewish interest. Our library, in general, does not take donations, and I am frequently asked, "If you don't want my stuff, who does?" -- In general, people are not that interested in donating to the local "Friends of the Public Library" I know that when I lived in Baltimore, the local alumni associations of Smith College and Brandeis University had annual book sales that I usually directed people to. They took donations much of the year. Anything like that in Southern New England? Thanks so much, Rachel -- Rachel Lewin, MLS Temple Emanu-El Providence [email protected]
