Hello, I received a question from a client as to which libraries in North America hold a copy of the 1547 Constantinople Pentateuch, other than the three that he listed below:
"This book (originally comprised of 387 folios) which was printed in Constantinople in 1547 by Eliezer Soncino has five texts on every page: (1) the Hebrew Torah in the center column of the page, (2) C translation across the top of the page, (3) a Judeo-Spanish [Ladino] translation in the inner column of the page, (4) a Judeo-Greek translation in the outer column of the page, and (5) Rashi's medieval commentary across the bottom of the page. All the texts are, however, printed in Hebrew alphabetic characters. So far I only know of exemplars at Hebrew Union College in Cinncinnati, at Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, and the Houghton Library of Harvard University in Cambridge" Thanks, Leah Leah Cohen Bibliothécaire/Librarian Collection Jacob M.
