Winegarden recounts episodes in the life of Jacob Winegarden, an agnostic Jewish professor of theoretical physics whose specialty is thought experimentation. It tells a larger personal story of grief and survival, the ambivalence and persistence of love, and the meaning of being Jewish.Anthony Ferner was professor of at De Montfort University and has been a member of the Tindal Street Fiction Group since 2010. His short story The Cat It Is That appeared in the anthology The Sea In Birmingham, in 2013.
