As has often been said, "the price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Fanatics never give up, so we have to be ready again and again, unfortunately, to keep combating the spurious claims and monomaniacal rhetoric. I'm not sure SRRT will just "lick their wounds" and go away, having been finally and twice recently chastened and rebuffed (actually, it's more than that as several other of their proposed anti-Israel resolutions never even made it to Council or were scrapped before a vote could ever take place).
I, for one, would dearly like to just concentrate on true librarianship issues at future ALA meetings and conferences! Thanks to all who worked tirelessly to defeat hatred and bigotry again!
