Hi: i've just volunteered (!!) to catalog our temple library which has not been done in over maybe 20 years and never electronically. So,... I'm planning on using LibraryThing and hopefully the Elazar classification system. Can someone from this list write to me off list at my email ([email protected]) and help me figure out how to get the "call number" in Librarything to display an Elazar call number? Also, is there a simpler (than manual) way to enter the Elazar classifications for each book record created?
I see in LibraryThing settings, there seems to be a setting for Elazar, which I've set as the default. I don't see where on the display setup it can show. There's a way to display styles --classification -- "other call number system", but how do we get that to read Elazar numbers? If someone knows this system and can help walk me through an appropriate setup for the classification display, that would be so helpful. Any help appreciated. Judy
