At the AJL Conference in June, I had the pleasure of meeting local
Washington DC author Michelle Brafman at the author's lunch and thoroughly
enjoyed reading her new novel, Washing the Dead, this summer. Michelle is
interested in doing author events at synagogues, sisterhoods, and book
groups. She will be speaking in Milwaukee this fall and would like to visit
the Chicago area before or after November 15 (and is open to other dates as
well). Her novel is set in Milwaukee and San Diego and might be of special
interest to Midwestern or San Diego programmers but she is also willing to
travel to other locations.
