Shalom,
I was fortunate to join Shoshanah Seidman, the chair of 2016 conference, for
a four day trip to Charleston, South Carolina. During those days Shoshanah sent
you a few teasers. Charleston is an amazing city, rich with Jewish and
American history and unique beauty. I did not see the list of sessions yet,
but, based on the people that extended us a warm welcome, especially, from the
Jewish studies program at the College of Charleston and the Jewish Historical
Society of South Carolina as well as local Rabbis and members, you will be
treated to a unique experience.
Please mark your calendar: AJL 51 conference will be on June 17-22, 2016. I
was concerned that it will be a tough act to follow the Washington DC
conference. I’m now confident that it will be as successful and it will provide
you with a fantastic experience.
