In the John Rylands Library I came across a Syriac collection of chams (a small codex), which is very similar to those which were published by Hermann Gollancz in 1912 (please find the details taken from the UCL Library catalogue below): The book of protection, being a collection of charms / now edited for the first time from Syriac MSS. with translation, introduction, and notes by Hermann Gollancz. Hermann Gollancz, 1852-1930 London : Oxford University Press 1912. The two MSS, which he published, apparently belonged to his private collection. Now as I am working on this type of Syriac manuscripts, I am wondering, where these two MSS came after his death? I know that his library and some of his private papers came to UCL, but what happened to his MSS collection?
