Dear Jonathan,
Regarding your query about Julius Rosenwald, you may want to consult:
Julius Rosenwald: The Man Who Built Sears, Roebuck and Advanced the Cause of ...
By Peter M. Ascoli.
Ascoli is the grandson of Rosenwald and a major authority on his grandfather
(although he never actually knew him).  Ascoli is on the faculty at Spertus
Institute in Chicago, where he can probably be contacted:
http://www.spertus.edu/people/faculty/peter-ascoli

You may also want to contact Aviva Kempner, who recently made a documentary
film about Rosenwald (perhaps you have already seen it).  Her Rosenwald website
URL is:
http://www.rosenwaldfilm.org/
Good luck in your research pursuits!Rivka

Dear Safranim
Would anyone know if Julius Rosenwald's (of Sears) father had connections to
the Baltimore Jewish community in the 1870s or with Sir Moses Monetefiore?
Thanks very much
best regards
Jonathan

Members of HaSafran:
Greetings! My February 2016 e-catalog is now available.  The topic for this
month is Jewish and Israeli Art and artists.  It contains 100 books on various
aspects of Jewish and Israeli art in the past 100 years.  As usual, we have
just one copy of each item, first come first served. Ask to be on my mailing
list and I'll send you a copy of the catalog.
Also, feel free to send me your wants or missing books which you are searching
for and/or topics you are interested in and I shall do my best to find them for
you.
Sincerely, Dr. Baruch [buhi] Falach : Rare books, Manuscripts and Jewish Arts.

morning all,
Does anyone have a suggestion for a catchy video clip to show students about
fair use of images and other media that will "hit home"?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
