Hello! This is my first formal post to the list, but I have been a lurker for a bit and really benefited from the information and dialogue shared. I am hoping to connect with anyone who interacts with Jewish teens on a regular basis who might be willing to help me with an article I am writing for a professional library journal (*VOYA-Voices of Youth Advocates*). I am the Jewish contributor to an upcoming issue focusing exclusively on diversity, culture and race issues (an extension of the "we need diverse books" conversation). Some of you may already be familiar with it, but for those who don't, the audience for the journal is made up primarily of professional librarians, educators, writers and publishers, and the hope is to inspire among those professional constituencies named a deeper conversation and dialogue related to better supporting all teens from a broad range of background through more responsive library service and reading materials.
The link to a very brief, anonymous survey can be found here: http://goo.gl/forms/4KNPIu5guK, and my hope is to enhance the content of my piece with perspective from those most directly impacted. I have a very short turnaround (a March 15 deadline), so I understand if this is not manageable, but if you do have relatively easy access to appropriate respondents (must identify as Jewish and be between the ages of 12 and 19) who might be willing to share their thoughts and opinions, I would so appreciate your passing this link on. Many, many thanks in advance ! Adela -- Adela Peskorz, M.L.S.
